Welcome to the Northumberland Minor Lacrosse Association website.
The Northumberland Minor Lacrosse Association (Nemesis Lacrosse) is a Not-For-Profit organization established in 2012 with the goal of bringing the sport of lacrosse back to the kids in Northumberland County. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in Canada and is Canada’s official national summer sport. This exciting and fast paced game has a long history in Ontario. It is known as the fastest game played on two feet and is an exciting sport for its young players and viewers alike.
The NMLA is comprised of a group of hard working volunteers, who together aspire to bring another successful year of lacrosse to our region. These dedicated individuals, some who are well seasoned veterans with extensive experience with the sport, others who are new to the sport, are both excited and committed to creating and developing a solid and successful organization for years to come.
Nemesis Lacrosse is played across the county in Port Hope, Baltimore, Cobourg, Colborne and Brighton. Building a sound and enthusiastic House League division is the foundation for any successful organized sports organization and we are proud to say that since our founding year registration and turnout has been inspiring. As such, the NMLA is also able to offer a more competitive experience for its participants. Within certain age divisions, for those wishing to play at a higher level, rep teams which play field and box lacrosse are offered.
The NMLA offers skill building clinics to participants who are registered for the upcoming season. These clinics are offered to any registrant whether new or returning and for all age and skill levels. Dates, times and locations will be added when they are established.
In order to assist in keeping registration fees affordable to families (the NMLA fees are some of the least expensive lacrosse fees in Ontario) the NMLA requires team sponsorship from generous and caring individuals, companies, businesses and groups. Sponsorships are very much appreciated by the NMLA and its participants, we extend a very big thank you to all of our sponsors for your continued and valuable support. If you are interested in sponsoring a team for the upcoming season, please visit our NMLA Executive and Board Member contact page on this site.
We are looking forward to another successful and fun filled season!
